About Us

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much: Helen Keller

Puzzled Paws was inspired by our daughter, McKenzie.

Puzzled Paws is a Non Profit 501c3 dedicated to training, educating, and employing autistic adults and improving the lives of the autistic community. In order to prepare the team for the world of work in a real environment, the organization produces high quality, human grade pet treats and specialty items in their very first bakery. We decided to also add a retail element to meet the needs of all our clients, friends, family and community.

Puzzled Paws has launched a student community service program to educate the world on being strong allies to the autism community. We have also created a fundraising program to support our community involvement in helping other groups reach their goals.

Both of these initiatives support nationwide programs.

It's Me - McKenzie!

McKenzie, a deaf autistic young woman, is the heart and inspiration behind Puzzled Paws.

rom a young age, she took to the kitchen with enthusiasm, mastering everything from pancakes to helping mommy prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Despite challenges, her love for working with mixers, measuring, and hand-stirring shines through. McKenzie thrives with one-on-one cooking tasks, overcoming numerous challenges with determination and skill.

Her journey and accomplishments are at the core of Puzzled Paws, marking her legacy with pride and inspiration.

Kenzie attends a local high school in Jupiter, Florida. Her interests include painting, cooking, ride bikes, swimming, shopping and of course - boating for a leisurely float in the waves. Kenzie never misses recreational activities such a golf, yoga, tennis and fitness offered to her at the Els of Autism Foundation.

Even with a busy social life, she has been working hard for her new adventures.
